Your tabs stay on your device

Last updated: October 9, 2026

Link Collector does not collect, store on a server, sell or share any of your data. Everything it does happens inside your browser, and nothing is sent to the developer or to anyone else.

What the extension reads

When you open the Link Collector popup, or use the Copy tab links shortcut or menu item, it reads the titles and URLs of your open tabs so it can list, filter and copy them. This information is only used for that action. It is not saved, logged or transmitted.

What the extension saves

Link Collector saves your settings using the browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) so they are remembered next time:

These settings stay on your computer. They are not synced to your Google account and are removed when you uninstall the extension.

What the extension does not do

Clipboard, files and tabs

Links are copied to your clipboard only when you click Copy, press Ctrl+Enter or Alt+Shift+C, or choose Copy tab links from the toolbar icon's menu. A file is saved only when you click the download button, and it goes straight to your own downloads folder. Tabs are opened only when you click Open all, and closed only when you click Close duplicates.
